Clinical Supervision

WHAT TO EXPECT

Clinical supervision is about more than just getting your hours signed to obtain full licensure. Clinical supervision is a crucial component in your development of your professional identity as a clinician. Going beyond case consultations, we will work together to strengthen your clinical skill and judgment. Not all supervisees are treated the same - a newly licensed LGPC can expect a different supervision experience than a LGPC who is wrapping up their supervision hours and preparing to submit their LPC application to the board.

We are NOT accepting new supervisees at this time.

MY APPROACH

MY APPROACH

I use a developmental approach to supervision, meaning I view supervisees as progressing through specific stages of professional development and we collaborate to develop your clinical skills based on stage-specific guidance to optimize your learning. At the beginning of our supervisory relationship, we will create a professional development plan to determine your current stage and areas to focus on in supervision. Every 90 days, we will update the professional development plan to track progress and determine areas of focus.

Topics typically explored in supervision:

  • Cases and assessments

  • Treatment planning
